How I broke My Right Ankle

Feb 19, 2014. It was drizzling slightly in the morning as I was getting ready to go to office. My mom told me to wait and asked me to wear rain coat. But I chose not to and went ahead start wearing my Adidas shoes and brought my Yamaha bike out.

On my way to office a truck was moving slowly before me pushing all the dirt from the road to the air. I was patient and stayed way back to let it go but followed. The street was a bit narrow so overtaking it was impossible. But as I went on to other street which was also narrow another truck joined the truck that was already moving before me.

I had an opportunity to overtake the 1st truck and then the 2nd one but as I was turning on a narrow curve there was a guy pushing his scooter along and speaking in a mobile phone at the same time. He wasn't giving me way to pass and he's moving too slow and he was not listening to my honking. I know the truck is just behind me and turning the curve. So I didn't overtake the guy moving with scooter.

But when you have a bad day things will get worse at each step. The truck was long and as it was turning, its body started to overlap my path of standing. The moment I noticed the truck was getting too close I believe tried to move away but something caught in the truck, probably my bike handle or mirror, and just sucked me into the path of truck and I fell right between the back tires of the truck.

That was the only fortunate thing to happen other I was a goner. My fell on me with my right leg trapped under it and the truck ran over my bike. It was completely crushed. I ended up with a broken tibia and fibula, along with 2 nails blown off in my right leg and a puncture wound to the side of shin. There was no pain due to adrenaline.
